MOTIVATIONS: Tatsuya feels he has sinned egregiously by refusing to let go of his history and memories of his friends despite making a deal to do exactly that in order to secure the future of mankind, and the world in general. He's been trapped in his worst nightmare-- his friends don't remember him and Nyarlathotep is back, taunting him that the world will break down again because of Tatsuya's hubris. So he's determined to solve the problems he's caused, no matter what-- all by himself.
